God of War III (PS3) – God Of War 3 PS3 Review

Sony once again has a ‘Game of the Year‘ in their arsenal with God of War 3. To call this videogame epic would be the understatement of the century. Although a short game, it will have to be one of the most unique and satisfying video gaming experience on the PS3 to date.

Jam packed with highly visceral Boss-kills, napalm fueled action, realistic violence, uber smooth controls and a Hollywood blockbuster level soundtrack, God Of War 3 removes the boundaries between cutscenes and gameplay. If you’ve been holding off buying a PS3, then this is a good reason to break the piggybank.

God Of War 3 Gameplay

From the get-go you feel like you’ve been given a part in a motion picture, where you are the blood-thirsty hero in a world where brutality is like eating breakfat. So as you can already tell, this game isn’t for minors. As a matter of fact, we’re not sure if it will be able to get into Australiah thanks to graphic nature alone.

What Makes God Of War 3 Awesome

1) Storyline: The lead character, Kratos, pulls you into the game very quickly. You can’t help but enjoy the cut scenes unlike other games. Yes you can’t skip them this either but rest assured you won’t be taking any bathroom breaks either.

2) Graphics: The best we’ve seen to date from th Sony PS3. We’re not sure if it helped that the game was developed by Sony for the PS3 specificallly, but it has to be the best we’ve seen to date. With extreme attention to details and a super smooth frame rate, GOW3 doesn’t disappoint.

3) Controls: Never once did the feeling of frustration hit us during the entire game. We never found ourselves mashing the keypad in anger or panic. ‘Effortless’ is the best way describe the controls.

4) Boss Kills: Let’s face it, the God Of War franchise is highly popular thanks to this. Sure it can be very hard at times but the feeling of satisfaction when you are able to defeat them in the most brutal way ever devised on PS3 make it all but worth it.
